- Residential streets within The Villages at posted speeds

- Most parking lots in town squares and at recreation centers
Where You Can't Drive
- State highways and roads not marked for cart use
- Sidewalks (carts share the multi-modal paths with bikes and pedestrians)
- Private property without permission
- Off-road and unpaved areas not designated for carts
Driver Requirements
- Valid driver's license — required for anyone operating a cart on roads
- Minimum age 18 for cart rental customers
- All passengers must be seated — no riders standing or hanging off
- No operating a cart under the influence of alcohol or drugs
Speed & Safety
- Carts max out at 19.5 mph in most areas (street-legal carts can do 25 mph)
