Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using Golf Cart Rentals The Villages FL services, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

Rental Requirements

Age and License Requirements

• Renters must be at least 21 years of age
• Valid driver's license required for all drivers
• License must be presented at time of rental
• International drivers must have valid international license

Rental Period and Pricing

• Minimum rental period is 3 days
• All prices include fuel surcharge and applicable taxes
• Free delivery and pickup within The Villages
• Additional days charged at daily rate plus tax
• Pricing subject to change without notice

Payment Terms

Payment Methods

• We accept cash, credit cards, and debit cards
• Valid credit card required for security deposit
• Full payment due at time of rental
• Security deposit may be held until return

Security Deposit

• Security deposit required for all rentals
• Deposit amount varies by cart type and rental duration
• Deposit refunded upon satisfactory return of cart
• Deductions may apply for damages or violations

Rental Policies

Usage Restrictions

• Golf carts are for use within The Villages only
• Maximum speed limit of 20 mph on designated paths
• No off-road use or driving on highways
• Seat belts must be worn at all times
• No smoking or alcohol consumption in carts
• No modifications to the golf cart allowed

Driver Responsibilities

• Operate cart safely and responsibly
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations
• Do not exceed passenger capacity
• Report any mechanical issues immediately
• Keep cart clean and in good condition
• Return cart in same condition as received

Damage and Liability

Customer Liability

• Customer is responsible for all damages to the golf cart
• Damage charges will be deducted from security deposit
• Customer liable for theft or loss of golf cart
• Additional charges may apply for excessive cleaning
• Customer responsible for all traffic violations and fines

Insurance Coverage

• Basic liability insurance included with rental
• Customer responsible for collision and comprehensive coverage
• Personal injury coverage not included
• Customer's auto insurance may provide coverage
• Additional insurance available for purchase

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellation Terms

• 24-hour notice required for cancellations
• Full refund for cancellations made 24+ hours in advance
• 50% refund for cancellations made 12-24 hours in advance
• No refund for cancellations made less than 12 hours in advance
• Weather-related cancellations handled case by case

Early Return Policy

• No refunds for early returns
• Rental period cannot be shortened after start
• Additional charges may apply for early return
• Contact us immediately if early return is necessary

Delivery and Pickup

• Free delivery and pickup within The Villages
• Delivery times scheduled in advance
• Customer must be present for delivery and pickup
• Additional charges for delivery outside The Villages
• Emergency pickup available 24/7 for additional fee
• Customer responsible for cart security during rental period

Prohibited Activities

• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Racing or reckless driving
• Carrying more passengers than cart capacity
• Using cart for commercial purposes without permission
• Removing or tampering with safety equipment
• Driving on private property without permission
• Any activity that violates local laws or regulations

Limitation of Liability

Golf Cart Rentals The Villages FL shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of our services.

Our total liability to you for any damages arising from or related to this agreement shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the rental services.

Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance under this agreement which is due to fire, flood, earthquake, elements of nature, acts of God, acts of war, terrorism, labor strikes, or any other cause which is beyond our reasonable control.

Governing Law

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be resolved in the courts of Sumter County, Florida.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

Our SMS program provides important updates about your golf cart rental, including delivery confirmations, pickup reminders, service updates, special offers, and promotional messages. You can expect to receive messages related to your rental status, maintenance reminders, and exclusive deals for The Villages golf cart rentals.

Opt-Out Instructions

You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Simply text "STOP" to our shortcode. Upon sending "STOP," we will confirm your unsubscribe status via SMS. Following this confirmation, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. To rejoin, sign up as you did initially, and we will resume sending SMS messages to you.

Carrier Liability Disclaimer

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We are not responsible for any delays, failures, or other problems in the delivery of messages that are outside of our control, including but not limited to network issues, carrier problems, or technical difficulties.
