These Terms and Conditions govern your rental of golf carts from Golf Cart Rentals The Villages (“Company,” “we,” or “us”). By reserving or accepting delivery of a cart, you agree to these terms.
1. Driver Requirements
- All drivers must be at least 18 years of age and hold a valid driver’s license.
- The cart must only be operated within The Villages, FL and adjacent permitted cart paths and roadways.
- Operating the cart while impaired by alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited and is grounds for immediate termination of the rental.
2. Rental Periods
We offer weekly and monthly rentals only. Daily rentals are not available. The rental period begins on the delivery date and ends on the agreed pickup date. Early returns do not qualify for partial refunds.
3. Reservations & Payment
- A deposit may be required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
- Full balance is due before or upon delivery.
- Accepted payment methods: major credit cards, cash, or check (subject to clearance).
4. Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations made more than 7 days before delivery receive a full refund of any deposit.
- Cancellations made within 7 days of delivery may forfeit the deposit at our discretion.
- No-shows and same-day cancellations are non-refundable.
5. Damage & Liability
- The cart is inspected before delivery. Any pre-existing damage will be documented.
- The renter is responsible for damage caused by misuse, negligence, theft, or unauthorized drivers during the rental period.
- Comprehensive insurance is included with every rental; specific coverage details and deductible amounts are provided in the rental agreement at delivery.
- The Company is not liable for personal injury, loss, or theft of personal belongings left in the cart.
6. Maintenance & Breakdowns
Routine maintenance is included. If you experience a mechanical issue during your rental, call us at (352) 306-4409 between 7 AM and 7 PM and we will repair or swap the cart at no charge. Damage caused by negligence or misuse is billed to the renter.
7. Prohibited Uses
- Off-road or beach use.
- Towing other vehicles or trailers.
- Exceeding the rated passenger capacity.
- Subletting or transferring the rental to another party.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Sumter County, Florida.
9. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failure to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control, including weather events, hurricanes, government orders, utility outages, supply chain disruptions, or acts of God. If a Force Majeure event prevents delivery or use of the cart, we will work with you to reschedule or refund unused rental days.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The current version is always posted at this URL with a “Last updated” date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

By providing your phone number and checking the SMS consent box on any form on this site, you agree to receive text messages (SMS) from Golf Cart Rentals The Villages FL regarding your rental - including booking confirmations, delivery scheduling, pickup reminders, payment notifications, customer service responses, and occasional follow-up messages about your experience. Message frequency varies based on your rental activity.
Opt-Out Instructions
You can opt out of our SMS program at any time. Reply STOP to any text message from us to unsubscribe. You will receive a single confirmation message and will not receive further texts from us unless you opt back in. To re-subscribe, reply START or sign up again through our website.
