By renting a golf cart from Golf Cart Rentals The Villages FL, you agree to all terms and conditions outlined below. These terms are designed to ensure your safety and the safety of others while using our equipment.

Rental Requirements

Driver Requirements

  • • Must be at least 18 years old
  • • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • • License must not be expired or suspended
  • • Must be present at time of delivery

Important Restrictions

  • • No driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • • No racing or reckless driving
  • • No off-road use or driving on highways
  • • No modifications to the golf cart

Rental Agreement

Reservation & Payment

  • • Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of payment
  • • Full payment is required at time of delivery
  • • We accept cash, credit cards, checks, and bank transfers
  • • A valid credit card may be required for security deposit

Cancellation Policy

  • • Free cancellation up to 24 hours before rental
  • • Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a $25 fee
  • • No-shows will be charged the full rental amount
  • • Weather-related cancellations are handled case-by-case

Usage Guidelines

Where You Can Drive

  • • Designated golf cart paths in The Villages
  • • Residential streets within The Villages
  • • Shopping centers and recreational areas
  • • Golf courses and clubhouses

Where You Cannot Drive

  • • Highways or major roads (US 441, 466, 27)
  • • Areas outside The Villages boundaries
  • • Private property without permission
  • • Areas marked as restricted

Note: We provide a detailed map of approved routes with every rental. Please follow these routes for your safety and to avoid any legal issues.

Safety & Maintenance

Safety Requirements

  • • Always wear seatbelts when available
  • • Obey all traffic laws and speed limits
  • • Use turn signals and lights at night
  • • Keep hands and feet inside the cart at all times

Maintenance & Care

  • • Return the cart in the same condition as received
  • • Report any damage or mechanical issues immediately
  • • Do not attempt to repair the cart yourself
  • • Keep the cart clean and free of debris

Insurance & Liability

What's Included

  • • Comprehensive liability coverage up to $100,000
  • • Collision damage coverage
  • • Medical payments coverage
  • • Roadside assistance

What's Not Covered

  • • Damage from reckless driving or violations
  • • Personal injury from not wearing seatbelts
  • • Damage from off-road use
  • • Theft or vandalism due to negligence

Important: While we provide comprehensive coverage, you are responsible for any damage that exceeds our insurance limits or results from policy violations.

Return & Pickup

Return Requirements

  • • Cart must be returned at the agreed-upon time
  • • Cart should be clean and free of personal items
  • • Keys must be returned with the cart
  • • Any damage must be reported

Late Returns

  • • Late returns may incur additional charges
  • • $25 fee for returns more than 1 hour late
  • • Full day charge for returns more than 4 hours late
  • • Please call if you need to extend your rental

Prohibited Activities

Activities That Will Result in Immediate Termination

  • • Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • • Racing, speeding, or reckless driving
  • • Off-road use or driving on highways
  • • Allowing unauthorized drivers to operate the cart
  • • Smoking or open flames in the cart
  • • Transporting hazardous materials
  • • Modifying or tampering with the cart
  • • Using the cart for commercial purposes

Consequences: Violation of these rules will result in immediate termination of your rental, forfeiture of all fees, and potential legal action.

Mechanical Issues

  • • Call our emergency line immediately
  • • Do not attempt to repair the cart yourself
  • • We'll either fix the issue on-site or bring a replacement
  • • No additional charges for mechanical failures
